ABOUT US

#TIMHANS is situated at Peringandoor village on the way to Shornur, about 12 kms. of north from Thrissur Town, Kerala State and very near to Thrissur Medical College, Mulakunnathukkavu.

It is the fulfilment of the ardent desire of the Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath to start an institute for the treatment of Psychiatric and psychological patients. As a monument of the Post Centenary Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Archdiocese of Trichur, TIMHANS was inaugurated by His Grace Archbishop Salvatore Pennachio, Apostolic Nuncio (Vatican Ambassador to India) on 21st May 2011. This institute was blessed by Mar Andrews Thazhath, Archbishop of Trichur and patron of this institute in the presence of Archbishop Mar Jacob Thoomkuzy and Mar Raphael Thattil. Fr. Johnson Anthikat is the Founder Director of TIMHANS. Sisters of the Destitute had come forward to render their service in this institute. Now Dr.Fr.Joseph J.Kadappuran is serving as the Director of TIMHANS#.

Share compassionate love of Christ for physical, emotional, behavioural enhancement with clinical treatment, psychotherapy, training, awareness programmes and research by giving care and concern for poor and needy.

OBJECTIVES

Treatment for the mental illness (in-patients and out-patients), individual counselling and Family counselling.
To provide love, care, shelter and medical treatment to the mentally ill persons.
To provide mental health and solutions to the psycho problems.
To provide counselling and treatment to the people who are addicted to alcohol and other drugs.
To conduct Research & Development in the field of mental health and neuro sciences
To conduct awareness programmes and to reduce the stress and strain of the parents and the children.
To lead and empower them to the main stream of the society.
